Please read…New policy.

Sarah and I have a new policy going into effect as of today.  We are pretty laid back, so rather than try to sound so professional, and not like ourselves, ha, I’m just going to explain it like it is.  We know how life is, and how it gets crazy and busy sometimes, but after sitting at the studio a few times and realizing that the session we were waiting on wasn’t coming, we decided it was time to put this into effect.  We’ve had this happen a few times, so its not one event that caused us to decide to do this, but specifically, we had to work on Sunday to fit in a couple of clients that we could have fit in on Saturday, since the sessions we had booked didn’t come.  And thats tough on us…we have to either count on our family or pay our sitter to come keep our kids while we work, so its just tough on us when are counting on a session, and it doesn’t happen.  We understand kids getting sick, deaths in families, etc…but as of today, we MUST get 24 hours notice if you intend to cancel.  If we don’t get 24 hours notice, or more importantly, you don’t show up at all,  then we will be sending a bill of $50 out to you to cover our losses.  We hate to have to do this, but its only fair to us and other clients wanting sessions.

Ma Petite Grand Opening!

Ma Petite consignment shop is opening this Saturday, October 24th, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.  Check them out in Eupora, MS…they are right across the highway from Central Service Grill!

Maggie!

Another great senior girl came to see us Wednesday.  I’ve only edited a few ..but couldn’t wait to share.  We rowed through the water and found a few dry spots to get some pics done!  This was a really quick session but she was so cute that we got some great stuff!  Thanks ya’ll!!  Maggie have a great homecoming tonight!!  More to come…

Another batch of recents…

I have been ‘blog slacker of the month’.  I have been uploading to facebook so much that I tend to forget about this precious blog.  I have had the greatest clients in the last two weeks.  A family of 5, a senior, and a 1week old!  Such precious people at all different walks of life.  Thankyou all for letting us share in a piece of your life.  Your galleries will be ready soon…some sooner than others.  Enjoy!

Updates and specials!

Got a few things to update everyone on!   

First of all, our Christmas card gallery is finally up. We may be adding some more, but I am not certain on that just yet.  You can see those here:  http://www.dejavu-photography.net/clientproofs/

Second, we are running a special during the month of November.  If you book a weekday, studio only session, its only $50!

Third, we have VERY limited dates left for the year.  We can take a several weekday November sessions, but the last Saturday openings we have left in November is Saturday, November 28th.  Saturday, December 5th is also wide open.  After the 5th, I may be taking my early maternity leave to rest up before the Christmas rush and then the baby…depending on how I’m feeling, ha.  But Sarah will still be accepting a LIMITED number of sessions.

Kellum and Brandon

I first met Kellum when we were bridesmaids together in “our girl” Kayla’s wedding.  My girls were the flower girls, and they fell in LOVE with Kellum.  So now its Kellum’s turn to be the bride, and I know she is going to make a beautiful one, too!  I had a blast with her and her fiance, Brandon, but I didn’t think we were ever going to actually get to do their engagement shoot.  Between the rain and my family being sick, and Sarah’s has been sick, too…its been chaotic.  I think Sarah and I have shot more sessions solo in the past month than we have together.  But despite the soggy ground Kellum and Brandon were troopers, and we managed to have a great session!  Thanks guys…can’t wait till next May!

Saturday…

Had such a great day Saturday…even though the “better half” of the biz was fighting the stomach bug.  We had the cutest lil’ one year old man and then a ‘up for anything’ gawgeous senior girl.  Enjoy these and sorry that I didn’t write as much as they deserve!  My 4 mo old is ruling the house and I have to get some cleaning done while he is down!

Sometimes I wait to blog so long, because I have added the pics to facebook where the couple can see some, but then I remember, not all of you are on facebook.  I will be blogging more of these later, because this was such a large wedding party, and they have sooooo many shots that I’m still working on this wedding…this pregnancy has really slowed me down!  But enough about me…Hunter and Rebecca!!!  We probably laughed more at this wedding than we have in a long time.  These two are a fantastic couple with awesome friends!  Even though it was a large group to work with, they were sooo easy to get along with and made our day super fun!  Thanks guys for your patience while I work, work, work on your wedding proofs and for just being awesome in general!
